Different operations place different demands on a covert audio system. Each of ours is built for a specific kind of deployment.

Evidence-gathering audio — encrypted capture protects the integrity of the recording chain and denies an adversary clear-voice interception. Suited to the K9-SAT-001 encrypted transmitter paired with the K9-SAR-001 receiver.
Undercover audio surveillance — body-worn covert audio for undercover operations, where concealment and a minimal on-air signature are critical. Suited to the K9-SAT-002 miniature transmitter.

Why It Matters

The operational-security difference

In every one of these sectors the same principle applies: a covert audio device that can be detected, decoded or attributed is a liability rather than an asset. Commodity bugging equipment broadcasts clear voice on a fixed channel and is located in seconds by a competent sweep.

K9 systems are engineered the other way round — AES-128 encryption so a detected transmission yields nothing, frequency hopping so there is no fixed carrier to find, and low-detectability or non-RF options for the highest-threat environments. That is what makes them appropriate for professional and agency use rather than the open market.
